Magazine Scan: How To Make Anna More Efficient?

I'm not sure if they could have written this to be more offensive.

This is in a magazine from 1941. Get a load of the photos of the "Missus" lounging on the couch while "Anna" scrubs the floor in strappy high heel shoes in the upper right photo. I just can't stop shaking my head at the dehumanizing/ownership talk  .... ok, here are some high ... lowlights:

"You can't just hire your own particular Anna, sink into the downy cushions and turn on the radio, and expect your dreams of a shining clean and beautifully managed house to come true."

"I hope mine helps you and that your Anna flourishes as well as mine!

"Sunday means, mainly, a good family dinner. After serving it, and dusting downstairs, Anna is off on her merry way."
